Amanda Young Curtis, Philadelphia Union
Amanda Young Curtis is a veteran public relations and marketing executive with more than 15 years of experience leading strategic, creative campaigns for global sports, entertainment, and lifestyle brands. She joined the Philadelphia Union in 2019 as Team Publicist, where she focused on off-field storytelling and media relations, and was promoted in 2021 to oversee all marketing functions for the club.
In her six years with the Union, Curtis has played a pivotal role in elevating the club’s brand and business performance, driving a 47% increase in retail revenue and a 138% increase in earned media mentions. Under her leadership, the Union was named MLS Retail Club of the Year in 2021. She currently oversees Marketing, Public Relations, Broadcast, Community Relations, Game Presentation, Digital, and Graphic Design, working cross-functionally to deliver a cohesive fan experience on and off the pitch.
Curtis is also credited with launching several fan-facing initiatives, including the now-iconic gameday tradition known as the drum striker, which has become a defining part of the Union matchday atmosphere as well as designing and launching Union Yards, a beer garden and fan tailgate space. In recognition of her impact and leadership, she was inducted into the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2024 40 Under 40 class.
Prior to joining the Union, Curtis spent nearly a decade in the video game and consumer products industry, securing top-tier national print, broadcast, and digital coverage for major brands and franchises. Her past clients and projects include Major League Soccer, Activision, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and Nickelodeon, among others.
